Continuing her search for a way to eradicate the Break from Athia once and for all, Frey finds herself following a mysterious voice that leads her to a place that somehow transports her to the Purge of the Rheddig, the legendary battle that devastated Athia and eventually drove the Tantas to madness. On the official Sqaure Enix page, the description for the DLC goes: “Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust story DLC will serve as a prequel to the main game and takes place 25 years prior the events of Forspoken. A prequel to the main game, the DLC retains the same structure and overall mechanics as the main game and adding in more content, as protagonist Frey is joined on her adventure by Tanta Cinta as a companion, lending her abilities during combat and exploration as she is launched back in time. Square Enix and Luminous Productions have released the gameplay trailer for Forspoken’s upcoming DLC “In Tanta We Trust” which is scheduled to release on May 26.
